I’m Alex, the founder of Viewee. Before stepping into the world of business, I served five years in the British Army, including a six-month operational tour in Afghanistan. Those years taught me discipline, resilience, leadership, and most importantly the value of people. These lessons have shaped everything I’ve done since.
After leaving the Army, I worked in roles at Virgin Media, Countrywide PLC, Vitabiotics, and Cox Powertrain Limited. No matter the industry, I kept seeing the same recurring problems: outdated performance review processes, feedback that arrived far too infrequently, and systems that didn’t give employees or employers the insights they needed to grow.
The spark for Viewee came in 2016 during a conference in Guildford while I was working as an estate agent with Countrywide PLC. The event centred around NPS (Net Promoter Score) and highlighted just how ineffective traditional feedback channels such as; emails, phone surveys, follow-up questionnaires had become. Response rates were low, feedback lacked depth, and businesses were effectively flying blind. That moment triggered a genuine lightbulb idea: there has to be a faster, simpler, and more meaningful way to gather real insights while recognising great employee performance in real time.
In 2018, I founded Viewee to bring that idea to life.
Viewee was built to modernise performance management and help organisations truly understand their people and customers. Our platform enables businesses to identify top performers, uncover development opportunities, improve team dynamics, and elevate customer experience all through real-time, actionable insights.
And now, with the investment we’re raising, we’re accelerating Viewee’s evolution even further. The funding will allow us to scale the platform using advanced AI, introduce integrated tipping and payments, and streamline the entire feedback journey for both venues and employees into one seamless experience. These enhancements will empower businesses to gather richer insights, track actionable trends, reward great performance instantly, and give employees and employers clearer takeaways to support growth, motivation, and success.
